Σαν σήμερα, 5 Μαρτίου 1887, γεννήθηκε ο Βραζιλιάνος συνθέτης Heitor Villa-Lobos, από τους μεγαλύτερους του εικοστού αιώνα. Περισσότερος γνωστές είναι οι κιθαριστικές συνθέσεις του, ωστόσο υπήρξε εκπληκτικά παργωγικός συνθέτης, με έργο που περιλαμβάνει όπερες, συμφωνίες και άλλα ορχηστρικά έργα, μουσική δωματίου και μουσική γα σόλο πιάνο… Ακούμε το Κονσέρτο του για κιθάρα και μικρή ορχήστρα. On this date, March 5, 1887 the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos was born, one of the greatest of the twentieth century. His guitar compositions are more well known, but he was an extraordinarily prolific composer, with a work which includes operas, symphonies and other orchestral works, chamber music and music for solo piano… We hear his Concerto for guitar and small orchestra. Narciso Yepes: guitar. The London Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Garcia Navarro.
