Bach [JS]

On March 31, 1685

this man was born:

Johann Sebastian Bach

Glad I found this image of JS… it was the one hanging over my piano, like a hammer of sorts! 😉

Oannes has already done an amazing tribute,
however I did want to add a few more gems,
very dear to me.

Double Violin Concerto in D Minor, BWV 1043

Itzhak Perlman & Pinchas Zukerman
English Chamber Orchestra – Dir. Daniel Barenboim

French Suite No. 3 in B Minor, BWV 814:

I. Allemande

Vladimir Ashkenazy

3. Sarabande

4. Menuett

I would have added the whole Suite, but unfortunately couldn’t find it in one video…
and last:

St Matthew Passion – Matthäus-Passion BWV 244

Erbarme dich, mein Gott

Philippe Herreweghe, Collegium Vocale Gent, Andreas Scholl

  1. His music is very pretty! The only piece I can think of that is prettier is “Für Elise” by Beethoven.
Yet, “Für Elise” is perhaps one of the few classic pieces I can say I know.

  2. Check your twitter re this post asap! Another freebie expiring today… analog dreams synth… to include VANGELIS sounds… (there, did I get your attention??) 😁

    • I’m a novice TW user [in fact I rarely check in, I just use it to share stf]… yet, I didn’t see something! 😱🙄
ps you definitely don’t need TW to get my attention! 😉

      • Yeah, I actually find the Twitter interface somewhat confusing. Anyhow… it was about a free Native Instruments sample bank… I tested it out… okay but clunky and not easy to use. If you missed it, you didn’t miss much! I prefer light VSTi’s any day! 😊😊😎
