Duality Tree II

Duality Tree II

Technique: Watercolor

Dimensions: 33,5×43,5cm [framed] • 30,5×40,5cm [unframed, with mat]

Description:

Inspired by trees and the duality of our nature,
I painted this tree which is half full green and half barren.
The ground underneath nurtures them equally.
I see beauty in both.
Green, moss & lime green to brown, sepia, burnt umber…
coexist in search of harmony

  1. I hope you sell everything!
You, me and the ones we love have chosen the love life of art. It’s difficult to make $$,but you seem to be more adept than most artists. My N is very good at it. After years of applying my talent to make art dreams come true for others in film (applied art), I am being selfish/stubborn about my art. Crazy thing is… Art Gowns… other than my best blog pals & a few in real life… no one gets it!
    Love your art!

PS.. adore the music in your art video!

    • Oh, wouldn’t that be nice!!!! It’s really odd how on one hand I love the appreciation of someone willing to buy my art and on the other hand, it’s hard parting with it! 😉 …
Seriously though… no one gets it? Your Art Gowns are pure art, how can someone not get it?!!!!!!!! It cannot compute!!!!! 🥴🤯
You keep being “selfish/stubborn” for our sake and for very selfish reasons too… our pleasure!

  2. Ah, Marina, you capture the beauty of duality, which encompasses us all. You reminded me of a quote by J.R.R. Tolkien:

“Home is behind, the world ahead,
and there are many paths to tread
through shadows to the edge of night,
until the stars are all alight.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

  3. One tree, different seasons. You have a beautiful way of showing the cycle of life with its bloom and time for resting. The promise that the only constant is change! Hugs for that 🙂

    • …and you have a way of saying the most beautiful words, my dearest Mary Jo. It is the only constant which is a bit of an oxymoron but true! 😉 Huge hugs and love your way… 🤗❤

  4. This is so beautiful and I love the way it is shown in May and frame, gorgeous Marina. I enjoyed touring your art expo. It’s awesome! You are so gifted. ❤️😘🌷
