from Oannes * tribute to «cosmic» songs
✻
Sci fi serials of the ’60s with marionettes [Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds etc.] had a relatively limited, but not insignificant amount of fun. Producer Gerry Anderson was the master of the genre, and Barry Gray the main composer of their music. Having also written music for films during the 1960s, in the ’70s he would compose soundtracks for sci-fi series such as UFO [1970-1973], Space 1999 [1975-1978] from which we hear excerpts.

Together we have a band MK-O [the music of Marina Kanavaki & Oannes]. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and sometimes mine] musical selections. • Do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!
