On this, their first ever collaboration, American singer Kurt Elling and Panamanian piano player Danilo Pérez, two mostly interesting musicians of the jazz scene, are based on pre-existing material : compositions by Wayne Shorter, Django Bates, Vince Mendoza, Jaco Pastorius [like the two we have here] with original lyrics by the singer.
