Το κονσέρτο για πιάνο και ορχήστρα σε σολ μείζονα είναι μια από τις τελευταίες συνθέσεις του Ραβέλ. Έχει προηγηθεί η επίσκεψή του στις ΗΠΑ και ο επηρεασμός από την jazz και τα spirituals, ευδιάκριτος ειδικά σ’ αυτό, το πρώτο μέρος, που ακούμε από την Martha Argerich και την London Symphony Orchestra υπό τον Claudio Abbado.

Concerto for piano and orchestra in G major is one of Ravel’s last compositions. It has been preceded by his visit to the USA and the influence from jazz and spirituals, especially distinct in this one, the first part, which we hear from Martha Argerich and the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Claudio Abbado.
