Ο Hermeto Pascoal συνθέτης [του κομματιού], ενορχηστρωτής και δεξιοτέχνης πολλών οργάνων, ξεκινώντας από τοπικά βραζιλιάνικα γκρουπ, θα αποκτούσε παγκόσμια φήμη από τη συμμετοχή του στο ζωντανό ‘Live-Evil’ του Miles Davis [1971].
Ο Miles αναφερόταν σ’ αυτόν ως “τον πιο εντυπωσιακό μουσικό στο κόσμο”.

From the legendary, one and only album by Brazilian Octopus [1969] we hear a relatively short but priceless diamond. Hermeto Pascoal, composer [of the song], arranger and multi-instrumentalist, starting from local, Brazilian groups, would gain worldwide fame from his participation in Miles Davis’ ‘Live-Evil’ [1971].
Miles would describe him as “the most impressive musician in the world”.
