Δύσκολα το πιστεύει κανείς αλλά ο Chopin [φωτό, 1849], έγραψε κατ’ αρχήν αυτά τα κομμάτια για εκπαιδευτικούς σκοπούς, για την βελτίωση της τεχνικής του εκτελεστή.
Οι Σπουδές του αποτελούν έκτοτε ένα από τα σημαντικότερα έργα της πιανιστικής φιλολογίας. Ακούμε 5 από την πρώτη δωδεκάδα, έργο 10.

It is hard to believe that Chopin [photo, 1949] wrote these pieces for educational purpose in the first place, in terms of improving the player’s technique.
Since then, his studies have been one of the most important works written for piano. We hear 5 from the first 12 of them, op. 10.
