You suggest a lot with just a little.
What a great compliment! Thank you, my friend! 🙏
I love this, Marina, such smooth lines, and my mind is whirling with thoughts of what he/she is thinking! I read in the other comment that you are preparing for another art exhibit and that is awesome. You are so talented, my friend, I wish I could attend to support you. Big hugs! xoxoxo
Ah, thank you so much, my dear Lauren! As I’ve kept the comments from the original post, you’re probably read one of them and I was referring to the art show I did years later (2019). I’d love to prepare another one but right now things look pretty grim for art shows. Maybe after all this has passed.
Big big hugs your way and… your words are the best support! 💕💖🌻💖💕
Oh, sorry, Marina, I missed the date. 🙂 I realize it is a grim time for many things, but I hope the opportunity falls in your lap very soon. I’m also glad you included the link to purchase your art because I’m going to take some time to peruse. I’d love to have one of your portraits hanging in our home. Big hugs back to you (bouncing back and forth like a beach ball) 🙂 and I’m happy to support such a talented friend.
💜🧡💙💜🧡💙
It’s not easy to see the dates and I never pay any attention to them, so it’s only natural you missed it! Oh, Lauren I really mean it when I say that your words are the best support and encouragement to me, so please know that it’s more than enough!
Sending love and wishes for a wonderful weekend.
💕💖🧡❤🌟🌻🌟❤🧡💖💕
Big hugs, dear friend! And so far, I’m leaning towards no. 21 or 26. Gorgeous!
💞🌻💞🌻💞🌻💞🌻
Big big hugs back!!! Awww…. blushing!

Surely winking whilst singing aloud some risqué lyrics perhaps – the lines of your characters are mesmerizing to follow
Oh, I’d love to hear those lyrics!
So happy you’re enjoying this journey!
Sending hugs and wishes for a wonderful weekend.
Excellent drawing thank you for sharing 💕🎉
Ah, thank you very much for your kind words! 🙏
You are welcome 😊💓🌹stay happy and blessed forever 🙂😊🌹
Aw, and you too, dear Priti! 🙏😊🙏
Loving this look back to 2012. Thank you, Marina!
Ah, that is wonderful to hear, my dearest friend! Many hugs and thank YOU!! xoxoxo
What a great face. I love line drawings and you’ve added a perfect wash to the lines.
This series of paintings were a challenge as I was trying to capture a moment, a thought, an expression in ‘one breath’, so to speak. Oils aren’t exactly the medium to do that, but their intensity have no match. So happy you like it.
On the face of it (no pun intended), it looks simple and and basic, but the flow and lines draw me in and it holds my gaze, gets my attention. Lovely work.
Ah, what a beautiful comment, Tone and thank you for visiting. Hope you have a pleasant journey in there! 😉🙏
Lost in my own thoughts 💭 The eye like a question mark ❔ what is that face thinking.
Ah, but you don’t really expect me to tell you, right?! 😉 I’m just happy & thankful it pulled you in! 🙏
Nope, that would spoil the plot! 😉
😉😄
Very lively!
So glad you like it. Thank you, Denis! 🙂
You re welcome 🙂

Thank you so much David for your beautiful haiku comment, and for your beautiful haikus in your blog!
I really like this, Marina. Something a bit magical in it. I see a squirrel in the eye which just sends my mind off in different directions. Wonderful. 🙂
…I can see that squirrel too! Thank you, Katie for your creative vision!
moustache makes character
(so says my cat)
Hmmm, a cat critic…!! Thank you, cat!
This is so awesome, the strokes so smooth! i bet you can paint a perfect circle! 🙂
Hmmmm, I don’t know about perfect, I sure do LOTS of them! Thank you Jayanth!!
I always love the free quick movements of your stokes. There’s no hesitation, but they are intentional.
Strokes, not stokes. I need food.
Someone once told me that I work like a diver, on one breath. Truth is there’s a lot of work behind this, and many many many previous ones ending up in the dust bin, so I appreciate even more your very kind comment. I’m really glad you like them. Thank you, Jennifer. [bon appetit!]
Marina, I totally love this one. The lines form such a gorgeous twist, a labyrinthine of mind and heart. You ought to exhibit your work Marina!!! Remain in touch. Cheers.
Thanks so much Shaheen for your kind words! These paintings -titled “Characters”- are from my first solo exhibition in Athens [Epohes Gallery], in 1999. I am now in the process of preparing another, so I will let you know where and when. Thanks again for the encouragement, I really appreciate it.
Lady I stock here in my chair about 15 minutes to guess what it is lol ..
I think i gonna paint it upside down to create Leonardo`s face of teenage mutant ninja turtle Kidding excellent post Marina 🙂
Thanks Jake!
It’s a stroke of the pen isn’t it?
I LUV the expression 🙂
Thank you Dominique! You’re right, it is a kind of “monokondylia”!
Nice flowing lines.
Thank you Bongo!
Talking in one’s sleep?
Hmmm… Could be, could be!
