Άλλη μια δόση από Haydn, με τον Grigory Sokolov στο Allegro Moderato από τη σονάτα Νο 47 σε Σι ελάσσονα.
Εν είδει “ορεκτικού” ένα lied του Beethoven [μαθητή για λίγο του Haydn] το μουσικό θέμα του οποίου είναι σχετικό με το θέμα της σονάτας. Πρόκειται για το ‘Flohlied Des Mephisto’, το Τραγούδι του Ψύλλου απ΄ τον Φάουστ του Γκαίτε. Ερμηνεύει ο βαρύτονος Gérard Souzay. Ένα μικροσκοπικό αριστούργημα, πριν από το μεγάλο.

Another dose of Haydn, with Grigory Sokolov performing Allegro Moderato from sonata No. 47 in B minor.
As an “appetizer”, a lied by Beethoven [student of Haydn for a while] whose musical theme is relevant to the one of the sonata. It is ‘Flohlied Des Mephisto’, the Song of Flea from Goethe’s Faust, performed by baritone Gérard Souzay. A tiny masterpiece, before the big one.
