Tomas Luis De Victoria, the “Spanish Palestrina”, is considered as one of the greatest figures of the Renaissance polyphonic music, along with artists such as Palestrina, Josquin Des Prez and Orlando Di Lasso. Tenebrae Responsories is a series of motets for four voices, written to be performed on Holy Week. We hear three of the ones for Holy Wednesday, by Pro Cantione Antiqua – directed by Bruno Turner.
