Στο έργο του σημαντικού συνθέτη και βιολονίστα Δημήτρη Δραγατάκη (1914-2001) η δημοτική παράδοση, μέρος της καθημερινότητας των παιδικών του χρόνων στη γενέθλια γη της Ηπείρου, συναντιέται με τα σύγχρονα μουσικά ρεύματα. Ιδίως εκείνα της πρωτοπορίας των ‘60s και ‘70s, καθότι αφιερώθηκε στη σύνθεση μετά το 40ο έτος της ζωής του. Το ύφος του Δραγατάκη είναι προσωπικό και η παραγωγή του εντυπωσιακά μεγάλη, σε όλα σχεδόν τα μουσικά είδη.
Διαλέγουμε δύο μέρη της Συμφωνίας Νο 1 – την Ορχήστρα της Βουλγαρικής Ραδιοτηλεόρασης διευθύνει ο Kamen Goleminov.

In the work of the important composer and violinist Dimitris Dragatakis (1914-2001), folk tradition, part of the everyday life of his childhood in the native land of Epirus, meets with modern musical trends. Especially those of the avant-garde of the ’60s and ’70s, as he devoted himself to composition after the 40th year of his life. Dragatakis’ style is personal and his production is impressively large, in almost all musical genres.
We pick two parts from Symphony No 1 – the Bulgarian Radio and Television Orchestra is conducted by Kamen Goleminov.
