Daylight Saving Time… Away with you!

Yes, it’s the time of the year we get our hour back*

It’s the last Sunday of October that our time goes back one hour, one precious hour… the one stolen from us back in March!
Obviously I’m happy about it, hence I post about this joyous time almost every year!!!!! 😉

Double treat: the sun had a halo!

Maybe sun was celebrating too!
While celebrating time…
Here are two of my wall clocks,
one for October leaving…

and one for November coming…

and of course the wall clock specially designed for the occasion!

All 3 wall clocks, as well as many more art items can be found at my Society6 Art Shop.

Happy Sunday, everyone…

and to whoever’s had their hour changed…

Enjoy the extra hour today!

* Daylight saving time (DST)—also summer time in British English— is the practice of advancing clocks during the lighter months so that evenings have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.

    • Oh, but we do!!!!!!!! You’re not alone! 😉 It was put to a vote in the EC last year [Yes or No to DST and if so, which one] Fortunately people voted ‘No’ to the change every 6 months, however most chose DST as the only hour throughout the year! I do hope DST is not the one… it’s just not normal and anyway, it’s not the right time either! 😉

        • The last remark about the inhabited last floor was from a ‘dialogue’ between George Bernard Shaw and Somerset Maugham. While Shaw said that when Maugham writes, he holds his pen upside down, Maugham said that Shaw is like a tall building with an uninhabited last floor [Shaw was very tall]! It’s obvious they had a mutual …unappreciation, however I love their witty dialogues! 😉 Couldn’t find the exact quotes anywhere. I remember reading it at school. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
