Τέλος, ξανά από John Williams, ένα ωραίο jazz στιμγιότυπο: η ινστρουμένταλ εκδοχή του “The Long Goodbye” [Dave Grusin Trio] από το soundtrack της ομώνυμης ταινίας [1973]

On this date, February 20, 1925, the great director Robert Altman was born – an opportunity for a taste from his film soundtracks.
First, the historical song from MASH, both the movie [1970] and the TV series [1972-1983] – in an interesting adaptation by Marilyn Manson
Second, John Williams‘ music from the fantastic soundtrack written for the thriller IMAGES [1972]
Finally, again by John Williams, a nice jazzy snapshot: the instrumental version of “The Long Goodbye” [Dave Grusin Trio] from the soundtrack of the eponymous film noir [1973]

More about these reblogs

Lately I have been rebloging music videos from Oannes new blog. For my friends who didn’t know, or wonder why…. Oannes [aka Socratis Papahatzis] is my husband, partner in life and music and the one with my undying admiration. Together we have a band MK-O [the music of Marina Kanavaki & Oannes]. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and mine] musical selections. Although here I reblog mainly his musical selections, he writes exceptional articles on various topics [some may need translation], so do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!
