Σαν σήμερα, 11 Απριλίου 1911 γεννήθηκε Στο Μπουένος Άιρες ο Alberto Evaristo Ginastera, ένας από τους σημαντικότερους Αργεντινούς συνθέτες του αιώνα. Στο έργο του παραδοσιακά αργεντίνικα στοιχεία συναντιούνται με την επιρροή συνθετών της εποχής του [Σένμπεργκ, Μπάρτοκ, Στραβίνσκι, ο δάσκαλός του Άαρον Κόπλαντ…]. Ο Ginastera έγραψε όπερες, ορχηστρκά έργα, μουσική δωματίου, μουσική για πιάνο και άλλα όργανα. Εδώ έχουμε την εξίσου εντυπωσιακή Σονάτα για κιθάρα op. 47, από τον Eduardo Fernandez.

On this date, April 11, 1911, Alberto Evaristo Ginastera, one of the foremost Argentine composers of the century, was born in Buenos Aires. In his work, traditional Argentinian elements meet with the influence of composers of his time [Schoenberg, Bartok, Stravinsky, his teacher Aaron Copeland…]. Ginastera wrote operas, orchestral works, chamber music, music for piano and other instruments.
